Meet Paul

Paul is our Chief Design Officer, having started at Fyresite a “long, long time ago.” This isn’t an exaggeration – he’s been with us from almost the beginning (2011)!

What is Your Favorite Project You’ve Worked On At Fyresite?

“Trudoor since it’s given me an ongoing ability to grow as a backend developer,” said Paul. Trudoor and Fyresite have a long-standing partnership, and it’s so amazing to see how we grow together!

First Computer You Ever Used?

“Those old-school macintoshes with the green screens and floppy discs playing Oregon Trail,” was Paul’s answer.

What’s A Fun Fact About Yourself?

I have a lot of pets. A 10-year-old dog, a 3-year-old Sulcata tortoise, a 20-year-old ball python, a 30-gallon planted aquarium, and a 100-gallon reef tank.

What Would Be Your Dream Job If You Weren’t Chief Design Officer?

“Something involving traveling and a high salary,” Paul said.

What Is One Piece Of Advice You Wish You’d Been Given At The Start Of Your Career?

“As a web designer, learn how to code,” Paul said. Great advice! We think it’s important that designers know the basics of code and developers know the basics of design, so they can be cognizant of the needs of the other while doing their job.

If You Could Be Any Animal, What Would You Be?
