Combining the Yoruba words for ‘crown’ and ‘joy’, this apparel company celebrates traditional African designs while keeping them comfortable and practical. Ade + Ayo was built from founder Temidayo’s desire to give her child the same taste of Nigerian culture that she had grown up with.

Ade + Ayo sells prints and clothing for babies and adults, as well as books, toys, and accessories. Their bright designs invoke happiness for the customers who shop their store.

Capital City Wing Sauce

Best known for their Mambo Sauce, Capital City Wing Sauce brings the taste of Washington D.C. into homes. Founder Arsha Jones wanted to bring her family the taste of D.C. that she grew up with.

The official wing sauce of Washington D.C., users can purchase from bottles to gallons of the mambo sauce. Also available are their apparel celebrating this sauce. For those who prefer to do their shopping in person, they leveraged a Shopify app for a store finder, allowing customers to find what stores near them sell this product.
