Fyresite isn’t one of those huge corporations with thousands of nameless employees. Since our inception in 2009, our greatest asset has always been our employees. For our 14th anniversary, we’re introducing them to you!
Meet Stephen
Stephen is the Development Team Lead here at Fyresite. He joined the Fyresite team way back in 2016.
What Your Favorite Project You’ve Worked On At Fyresite?
“YSOD,” Stephen said, “it had the coolest features and was a really great idea!”
First Computer You Used?
“Some sort of IBM that ran DOS. The first computer I remember the name of was a Packard Bell with Windows 3.1 installed on it,” Stephen told us, nostalgic.
What’s A Fun Fact About Yourself?
“I was originally a photojournalism major before moving into software development,” Stephen told us. The photojournalism industry may be sad that he changed careers, but we’re grateful he’s with our team!
What Would Be Your Dream Job If You Weren’t A Development Team Lead?
“Being an artist, creating digital/robotic sculptures with light and sound,” Stephen said. It makes sense to us – software development is a kind of art form! We’re sure our clients would agree.
What Is One Piece Of Advice You Wish You’d Been Given At The Start Of Your Career?
“Look for places in the company that aren’t being served and find a way to inject yourself into them. Realize that you can serve the company, and in turn that will help you get paid more,” he told us. We think this is great advice.
If You Could Be Any Animal, What Would You Be?
“A monkey!” was his enthusiastic response.
What’s The Best Thing You’ve Learned At Fyresite?
Stephen told us that the best thing he’s learned at Fyresite is “how to work with a team to create amazing things.” At Fyresite, everything we do is a collaboration, between each other and with our amazing clients.
Come back everyday until Fyresite’s big 14th anniversary to learn more about the players that work in tandem to make your web and app dreams come true.
