How NIS America Integrated NetSuite and Shopify Plus for a Seamless Customer Experience
TL;DR
What We Shipped
NIS America, the video game and anime publisher behind franchises like Disgaea, was running an aging Magento store that no longer matched their brand and could not keep pace with high-demand release drops. Fyresite rebuilt the store on Shopify Plus with a fully custom front-end, then wired it directly into their NetSuite ERP so orders, inventory, and fulfillment stay in sync across their warehouse and drop-ship partner. The result handles timed preorder launches, loyalty rewards, and complex product configurations the old platform never could.
Migrated from Magento to Shopify Plus
Products, orders, customers, reviews, and SEO data moved onto a custom-built Shopify Plus storefront.
Bi-Directional NetSuite Integration
A Celigo connector keeps orders, payments, inventory, and fulfillment in sync between Shopify, NetSuite, the warehouse, and a drop-ship vendor.
Timed Release Drops
LaunchPad scheduling lets NISA launch new titles at an exact date and time with no manual flipping of products.
Configurable Game Product Pages
Platform and edition selectors that reshape the product page, with conditional trailers, galleries, and "what's included" blocks.
Custom Stock Meter
A percentage-based availability bar with manual override, built for limited-edition and preorder hype.
Loyalty and Preorder Systems
A Smile.io rewards program plus preorder handling that captures revenue upfront instead of at fulfillment.
NIS America needed to refresh their online store, without sacrificing their unique customer experience.

The Problem
NIS America had built a devoted following as the publisher behind franchises like Disgaea, and their store was where that community came to collect limited editions, preorders, and merch. The problem was that their aging Magento storefront no longer did the brand justice. It felt dated next to the games it was selling, it was difficult to maintain, and it strained under exactly the moments that mattered most: high-demand release drops where thousands of fans show up at once.
Underneath the design issues sat a deeper operational one. Their store didn’t talk cleanly to NetSuite, the ERP running their business behind the scenes, which meant orders, inventory, payments, and fulfillment had to be reconciled across systems by hand. That gap touched everything, from their own warehouse to a third-party drop-ship partner, and it left too much room for error every time a big title launched. On top of that, their catalog wasn’t simple: configurable game products with multiple platforms and editions, bundles, preorders, and a loyalty program all had to work together and stay in sync.
What they needed wasn’t just a fresh coat of paint. They needed a modern storefront that preserved the customer experience their fans loved, connected directly to NetSuite so operations could scale, and could handle timed launches without breaking a sweat. With that many moving parts, they needed a partner with real Shopify Plus depth.
The Solution
Fyresite rebuilt the NIS America store from the ground up on Shopify Plus, starting with a fully custom front-end and user experience designed to match the energy of the brand while making the catalog easier to shop. We optimized page speed, checkout, and SEO along the way, and migrated their legacy Magento data, products, orders, customers, and reviews, into the new store.
The centerpiece was a custom bi-directional NetSuite connection built through Celigo. Orders flow from Shopify into NetSuite and post correctly as sales order invoices with payments recorded against them, inventory syncs on a set schedule, and fulfillment and replacement data flow back from the warehouse and their drop-ship vendor. For the first time, the storefront and the ERP stayed in step automatically, across every party involved in getting an order out the door.
From there we solved for the way NISA actually sells. We built configurable game product pages that reshape themselves around the platform and edition a customer selects, complete with conditional trailers, galleries, and “what’s included” blocks. We engineered a custom stock meter to build urgency on limited runs, set up bundles and preorder handling that carry through cleanly to NetSuite, and configured LaunchPad so new titles go live at a precise date and time with no manual scramble on release day. A Smile.io loyalty program rounded it out, with existing rewards points imported so longtime customers didn’t lose what they’d earned. The result is a store that looks the part, runs itself where it used to run on manual effort, and is built for the drops that drive their business.
Custom Features
What we engineered
Bi-Directional NetSuite Connector (Celigo)
Orders post to NetSuite as Sales Order Invoices with payments recorded as Customer Deposits, inventory syncs on a set schedule, and replacement items and fulfillment files flow back from the warehouse and drop-ship vendor.
Configurable Product Page Engine
A product template that updates dynamically from platform and edition dropdowns, swapping imagery, pricing, availability dates, and conditional content blocks per selection.
Custom Stock Meter
Metafield-driven inputs (total stock, remaining, manual percentage override, preorder flag) output a live percentage range and stock-bar graphic on the PDP.
Scheduled Launch Automation
LaunchPad configured so products and discounts go live at a precise date and time, purpose-built for release-day drops.
Bundle and Preorder Fulfillment Logic
Simple Bundles paired with Pre-Order Globo and mapped through to NetSuite so bundled and preordered items are handled correctly downstream.
